This is my Political Blog as Conservative MP for Suffolk Coastal . My parliamentary website is www.theresecoffeymp.com & is taxpayer-funded, so no political commentary on that

Apologies - think I am back in control now
Not a nice time in the last hour - hopefully I can trace who did this
Some basic security lessons here perhaps? Once somebody gets into the email account you use to control Facebook, Twitter and Blogger, they can change all your passwords.
Use a virus checker to make sure you don't pick up anything from malicious sites or emails. However, in your case as a public figure its more likely somebody knew your email address and then guessed your password.
Solution: setup a hotmail account or similar that only you know about just to administer your blogs etc. Make the password impossible to guess (i.e. don't use your birthday etc) and change it every month or so. Ideally use a different email account for every different web service you use so at least if somebody hacks into one they don't get into all.
Dear Madam, I have just read an article in The East Anglian Daily Times relating to the riot at Hollesley Bay Institution. It makes my blood boil that in these "austere" times, and your philosphy of the big the society that at the first opportunity the tax payer is first in line to pick up the bill for the damage caused to the building. Surely, without any money changing hands, we can make them do work for the community to the value of the damage, and if there is any doubt over the culprits make them all do it, becasue afterall if some stood and watched and made no effort to stop it then this is also anti-social. I for one am fed up with pussy footing around with these people whilst law abiding members of society are for the want of a better word getting,"Screwed"

am thinking that twitter has the verified account service, surely as an mp they ought to be prepared to help you get your account back via that?

Yours angrily,

The breach of security is the main cost - changing all the locks and keys. I am not chuffed about it but not quite sure how else it will be paid.
